Panel five of sixteen from the project Origin, is an acrylic on board illustration that presents a striking allegory of mammals rising to dominance in the animal kingdom, with a vibrant Jamaican yellow boa coiling out of the lush forest canopy. In the foreground, a nursing ferret, symbolic of nurturing mammalian life, is separated from the serpent by the imposing figure of a majestic Bengal tiger, its gaze fierce and protective. The tiger, standing as a barrier between predator and prey, represents the ascension of mammals to supremacy, creating a tense yet harmonious balance of power within the natural world.
